Featuring PhotoREt II colour layering technology from HP, the Deskjet 810C can be connected to the parallel or the USB port of the PC. The printing options available in the driver are best, normal and economy. You can manually set the colour intensity if required. The printer supports banner printing as well. The maintenance options available include aligning and cleaning the print cartridges and taking a test printout.
The performance of the 810C was the best in the mid-range category, both in terms of speed and quality. The printer took 2.06, 4.34, and 11.58 minutes to print the text, combo and image files, respectively. The print quality score was an impressive 89, while the overall score was 67. The printer is appropriate for home and office use, especially if good speed and print quality is required. The 810C is going to be replaced shortly by the Deskjet 840C, which offers similar features and falls in the same price bracket.
